Overview:
Antech Diagnostics, the largest exclusively commercial veterinary diagnostic laboratory in the nation, is in search of a Jr. SQL Database Developer working out of our Santa Monica office reporting directly to our Senior Manager of Finance.

Our diagnostic spectrum of tests in areas of chemistry, pathology, endocrinology, serology, hematology, and microbiology enhance the veterinarians ability to detect, diagnose, evaluate and prevent disease and other conditions affecting animals.
Responsibilities:
Our Jr. SQL Database Developer will be responsible for:

Writing Optimal SQL statements to support our business needs
Planing, coordinating and executing project activities to ensure timely completion
Performing code review to identify basic technical and logical errors
Proving high level of customer service and partner with end-users in the resolution of problems or in deployment of new applications
Staying plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities. Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, from a 4-year college required and/or 2+ years of related experience preferred.
2+ year experience in SQL and PLSQL programming, including writing Oracle functions procedures, packages and performance tuning.
Ability to write and debug Oracle and SQL queries
Intermediate knowledge of using Oracle APEX 4.0 and 5.0 (Oracle Application Express to create and debug applications)
Knowledge of HTML4/5, JavaScript, Ajax, CSS, XML, and JSON is a plus
Knowledge about Oracle relational database design
