We are looking for a full-time or part-time Veterinarian or Physical Therapist, certified in canine rehabilitation or certification pending. A veterinarian that is acupuncture and/or chiropractic certified will also be considered. Our clinic has 3000 square feet of dedicated rehabilitation space fully equipped and houses two underwater treadmills, an endless pool, exercise equipment, exercise area, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, shockwave, pain trace, orthotics/prosthetics, wheelchairs and cold laser. We offer a variety of rehabilitation services including individualized assessments, client education, assistive devices, therapeutic exercise and hydrotherapy.
Job Responsibilities
* Evaluation, goal setting and treatment of patients, progression of treatment and planning for discharge
* Education and communication with clients / caregivers
* Verbal and written timely communication with veterinarians and other caregivers of rehabilitation patients
* Daily charting, communication documentation to referring veterinarians
* Public relations and education (whether that be to staff, veterinarians, clients, potential clients or the general public) about the profession of animal rehabilitation and what PT can offer as a profession
* Contribute to the day-to-day maintenance of rehabilitation equipment and space, etc.
* Participation in marketing efforts

Our process begins with an initial evaluation. The initial evaluation is a 75-minute appointment with a veterinarian or physical therapist and consists of an orthopedic, neurologic, and myofascial exam. We look at the whole dog, not just the primary concern. Often when injury is involved, your dog’s body compensates in other ways and may cause muscle or joint pain that is not as obvious to your regular veterinarian. When developing a plan, we look at the whole picture. The plan will include in-clinic recommendations and home exercises. Your dog will also receive the first treatment during this evaluation. The evaluation will determine the plan that best serves your companion’s condition. Package pricing and monthly rates are available based on the plan.
