About our practice:
Companion Animal Dental Services was founded in 2011to provide the general veterinary community with an extension of their practices by providing general and specialty dentistry services that are often difficult to accommodate in a general practice setting. Originally a mobile service we have been at our current location in Bolton CT since 2018.
We are a privately owned veterinary practice. Dr. Herrman has been practicing general veterinary medicine and dentistry for 22 years and has built dental services in several general practices. Dr. Herrman has had extensive dental training from the American Veterinary Dental College and other advanced dental training programs. Providing complete dental care has made a huge difference in the quality of life in her general practice experience and now in her referral pet family members.
We have close relationships with our referral hospitals and clients. Many bring their extended pet families to us and we strive to provide follow up care to keep our patients mouths pain free and healthy. We are a boutique, low volume practice so we are able to provide focus to each of our patients. We care for each of our patients as if they were our own.
Teaching is a passion of ours, for staff, clients and referral hospitals. We have veterinary interns from the nearby University of Connecticut, helping expose future veterinarians to the difference it makes in animals lives to properly address the most common medical problem in our pet family members, dental disease.
We also strive to have our staff enjoy the work environment and to have a good work life balance. We want this to be an enjoyable career not just a job. We have a 4-day work week with a 3-day weekend. Our current office hours are Monday through Thursday 8-6pm. Work hours are approximately 38 hours/week.
We encourage personal growth and have a generous continuing education benefit.
We also have available to staff extensive online training programs for general veterinary skills, dental technician skills, and advanced anesthesia topics.
Matching (3%) 401k retirement plan
Profit sharing plan
Paid time off, sick and vacation
Generous pet discount
Generous continuing education allowance
Employment will require the successful completion of references and background checks.
