Since 1873, SPCA Cincinnati has been working to improve the health and well-being of the animals in our shelters and the community. Currently we are an open admission shelter with a county contract for animal control. We have two facilities, one in the city and one in the suburbs along with a farm in the suburbs that we are planning on developing in the near future. We take in about 12-13,000 dogs and cats per year along with a few other animals like birds, bunnies, guinea pigs, etc. We have a volunteer board who works very hard to help all the homeless animals and to be the voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.
