San Jose Animal Hospital is looking to add a full or part-time Veterinarian to join our growing staff. Our hospital currently has 4 full-time and 3 part-time doctors and a large and experienced support staff. Over the last 5 years, we've been lucky to be one of the fastest growing and highest rated clinics in Santa Clara County. What We Offer: Competitive Pay: Prosal (guaranteed base salary with quarterly production bonuses). Our Veterinarians have consistently earned quarterly bonuses and have been happy with productivity. Competitive Benefits: Flexible yearly CE allowance to use as you see fit (airfare, hotel, conference proceedings, wet labs, books, etc.). Group healthcare option (75% paid by employer). Paid vacation days, sick leave, and all national holidays off. Excellent Staff: Good group dynamics - many of our staff have been here for many years. We have a large and competent staff to assist you in whatever you need, so you can spend your time practicing medicine, not cleaning teeth or taking x-rays or placing IVs. Great Hospital: We've made $400k in clinic and equipment improvements over the last 5 years. Full in-house IDEXX labs allowing you to do quick CBC, chem panels, clotting times, blood gases, and full urinalysis. Hitachi Aloka Noblus Ultrasound. Digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, and endoscopy. Avimark practice software. Location: Easy access from I880, I680, and I101. There is a 3,500 town-home development under construction about 1/2 mile away and a new BART terminal opening there later this year. Great Experience: You would always be working with 1-2 other doctors each shift. You'll always have someone to help with case load and bounce ideas off of, and vise-versa. Our overall focus is to build long-term client relationships, not make a short-term profit. Therefore, you will never have a manager try to influence your medicine or focus on your production numbers. If you are looking for mentorship or to cultivate an area of interest, we can help you with that. We see a higher than average surgical caseload, so you have the potential to be exposed to high-volume spay/neuters as well as advanced procedures (soft-tissue and orthopedic) if you have an interest in doing them or learning them from others. Work Hours: 4 days/week 9am-6pm. Our last routine appointment is 90 minutes before closing, so that you are more likely to go home on time. You set your own schedule block-offs, for lunch, charting, call-backs, or even watching or participating in an interesting procedure. Approximately one Saturday/month working 9am to 4pm.
