Job Title: Small Animal Veterinary Technician Reports to: Head small animal veterinary technician or veterinarian on duty FLSA Status: Non-exempt Summary: The small animal technician provides basic nursing care of all patients, assists doctors in surgical procedures, performs routine technician tasks using basic technician skills (i.e. drawing blood, handling lab work samples, administering vaccines/injections, taking radiographs). Small animal technician should be able to communicate with clients about their pet's health and concerns (including admitting patients, history taking).
