SUMMARY: This position is responsible for care of animals in the Coronado Animal Care Facility (CACF) through providing exercise, interaction, love, food and grooming. The KA keeps the animals and CACF clean and maintained. The KA supports Registered Veterinary Technicians by handling the animals, restraining them during the administration of medicines. The KA also works jointly with RVTs to receive animals and complete and document intake protocols. The KA serves visitors to the animal shelter and supports volunteers and staff in completing other activities, such as adoptions. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Cleans and maintains dog kennels, cat enclosures, exercise yards and all areas of the shelter. Ensures that cleaning and care expectations are met.
