Be in a place where you can work and play in a fun small town. This small-animal predominant position is located in Chamberlain, South Dakota, which sits on the Missouri River and Lake Francis Case. Being a part of the Sioux Nation team gives you the flexability to specialize in small animal medicine, or partake in mixed-animal practice if you desire. Our Chamberlain location boasts a full in-house lab, digital X-ray, gas anesthesia, cold laser therapy, and an ultrasonic dental machine. For those who would like to partake in mixed-animal practice, the facility also has a portable hydraulic chute, a tilt table, a haul-in facility and a equine power float. You will be one of two veterinarians in this location, with a full support staff. In addition to the staff at our Chamberlain location, Sioux Nation has 19 other veterinarians for you to utilize for questions and aid in working through tough cases. For outdoor recreation enthusists, Chamberlain is an idea location. From great year-round fishing, camping, hiking and hunting opportunities, Chamberlain also is located relatively close to the Badlands and the Black Hills for weekend getaways. With the Chamberlain/Oacoma area's population being roughly 3000 people, you can enjoy the friendliness of a small town while still having the amenities of a popular tourist destination. Requirements for this position include: DVM or equivalent degree, USDA accreditation and a South Dakota veterinary license. Out-of-state applicants can receive their license after accepting the position. Salary is negotiable.
