We are looking to add another positive member to our team here at Bethel Animal Health! We are busy small town animal clinic located in Bethel Ohio. We need another veterinary assistant to help in appointments, surgery and kennels to ensure our Doctors have the most of their time assessing the pets in our care. We need a person who is very self directed, very detail oriented and who has experience in customer service. The Veterinary assistant will be responsible for assisting the D.V.M and R.V.T during appointments and surgery. Responsibility's include but are not limited to medication refills, taking and logging radiographs, recommending preventive, educating clients on vaccinations, running lab work, running fecal tests and logging client information. The Veterinary Technician assists the doctors to the fullest possible extent, to help improve the quality of care given to the patients, and to aid the doctors in achieving greater efficiency by relieving them of technical work at Bethel Animal Health. The Veterinary Technician assists in multiple procedures providing care for animals including physical examinations, dental procedures, surgeries, immunizations, euthanasia as well as client education, marketing and inventory maintenance. This position requires a current Ohio state RVT license. Must have: working knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs and common diseases; their symptoms, means of transmission, treatment and prevention, and other basic preventative health care recommendations.
